Everything I expected and more

I don’t get the negative reviews. This is an incredible frame. It is not a tv. I think that’s where the problem is. If want a tv then don’t buy it!! The art feature is great, it really doesn’t look like a tv while in use. The picture quality is amazing. The one connect cord and box is a great solution to all the corded mess that typically comes with a tv. One review complained about the cord, but how do you expect all the components and power to connect to the screen? This is really the best solution, I still have to hide it but it should be easy. As long as you don't have crazy expectations for some pretty unrealistic features you’ll love SMARPpx. I’m glad I bought this, and I’ve already recommended it to others! Update: I still stand by my review. I hid the part of the wire that was visible and couldn’t be happier. Screen has been set up for one month and we’ve had no issues. I love the picture and am still surprisingly satisfied with the sound the TV puts out. The picture with the lions shows the wire hidden as well as the black frame on. If you’re wondering where my one connect box is, it’s in the ottoman that you can see in the bottom right corner of my picture. I really love that you can’t see any cords.

Might Be For Art, Not For Artists

The touted feature is that it looks like a painting because it hangs flat and there is one thin wire that provides control and power to the screen. But there is still a wire. If you want to have the frame without wire you have to make two holes in the wall between studs in a vertical line. One behind the frame and the other behind the console or cabinet below and run the control wire down down behind the wall.... exactly what you would have to do with a power cord and an HDMI cable. So I don't see the point. I am a photographer and I read that I could upload and display my own work on the Frame. Great feature. But no skip option, no right arrow, nothing. I never dreamed the display functionality would be so incredibly limited. There are tons of forums with complaints about this, but no response from Samsung. Customer support is not there. Prepare for automated encounters like this: Please tell me why you are calling. I have a problem with my Samsung Frame. I'm so sorry your refrigerator is not working. Let me connect you with someone. Not just once. I speak English with no regional accent in case you think that might have been the problem. The first set arrived and just quit in the middle of setup. I couldn't get it to show anything on the screen. Phone support is business hours only. Customer support chat agents were no help. They took a long time between answers and offered a lot of non-logical answers. I had to trade out tv's for a new one. This one worked, but the wall mount was a pain. Instructions consisted of a bunch of safety notices and a couple of pictures. The wall mount was crooked but there were a couple nuts you could loosen to adjust it. Problem was the nuts were recessed and you couldn't get a wrench on them and the space around them was too narrow for a socket. I ended up using needle nose pliers. Not tight enough to fix the angle firmly but I was tired of messing with it. Double sided tape holds it straight. Not sure about the engineering there. In addition to the slideshow fail, the software was not at all intuitive, often wouldn't work the first time but inexplicably worked when you tried it the 3rd or 4th time. Manual was useless. I have never owned an expensive electronic device that made no attempt to explain its features or how to implement them. For example, there is a voice command feature but no documentation. Choosing that option in the setup menu does not make the remote voice command work and there is no setup sequence. Trying to connect it to my phone was a two day hassle. Finally decided to connect on its own. Not sure what happened there. Spent all day trying to get my own photos to display. First off, you can't do it directly from your computer - where your photos are if you're an artist. You have to upload them to your iPhone and then to the frame. Why? The photos just wouldn't load at first. Just showed a message to try later. They finally loaded but displayed with an ugly white border which I didn't want. I finally found out on the forums that the native resolution for the 65 screen is 3840x2160 pixels. The logical place for that information is in the manual. If you have photoshop skills to resize your work to exactly that size the tv will allow you, sometimes, when it feels like it, to upload photos and display them without a mat. It looks good after it's all set up, but as I said above, the shortest interval in the "slide show" is 10 minutes. If there is no activity the screen shuts down. There is a motion sensor so when you walk into the room the screen activates, but it returns to the first photo in the slide show. If you are a photographer wanting to display your work forget it unless you only have one photo you want to display. TV is pretty though. Watching a large screen with the video capabilities of the Frame is enjoyable, but you can do that for a lot less money. You're paying extra for a hang flat one picture slide show. Latest trick... the tv started talking to me in Chinese, all on its own. Every time I used the remote a voice would begin reading all the words on the screen in very fast Chinese/English. I spent half an hour one night trying to turn it off. Once again a decent manual would have been helpful. I went online to the forums but the advice was to choose the "menu" button on the remote and turn off "voice description". There is no menu button on the remote that comes with the Frame. The next night I gave up and called support. This was the one time support chat was useful. The feature was not called "voice description" but "audio dictation" and was located in Setup under the "accessibility" heading - not voice or audio headings which would seemingly be more obvious. Everything was pretty much like this - voice commands, iPhone connection, uploading photos, display without a border; basically anything other than turning it on and off. Samsung, if you are reading this (and you should be) you need to make up a focus group. Have people come in and set
